Client Vision
The client’s renovation and addition of their newly purchased home was to modernize the space and create a new central kitchen open to the family room and eating area. The client's love of baking and need for a large working space facilitated the creation of a large island. The client wanted a beautiful area for table seating overlooking the pond with a bench built-in storage and open shelves to display the cookbook and pottery collection, as well as a separate bar display area.

Fabulous Function
The island seats six comfortably in a three-sided conversational configuration for optimal family socializing. The designer brings the Leicht kitchen cabinets over to the kitchen eating area by including a built-in window seat with storage underneath, and tall cabinet units on both sides that includes open shelving to provide more storage and add personalization for books and meaningful décor to be displayed.
Concealed closed cabinets are used in the main working area of the kitchen for a modern streamlined style and for clutter free and efficient organizational storage.
