This was a new build, from the ground up, and the open concept kitchen space is one of the main living areas in the home, overlooking the front yard where there is a patio, pool and fire area, so it was important to create a space that was both warm and inviting but also related to the outside and surrounding areas. The clients wanted a dark and "moody" space that had warm wood tones.

A palette of rich warm cabinet finishes juxtaposed with a dramatic white marble creates a sophisticated open kitchen that looks welcoming and inviting. Moody kitchens are a popular trend today, but they don’t have to feel dark and dismal. This layered design is a great example of how moody kitchens can be all about drama and excitement.
Orlando Walnut Le Midi cabinets create a warm sensibility that visually relate to the outdoors, graciously bringing nature inside. While the Minera Kiruna cabinets on the grand island add a metalized texture. It’s this deep and rich palette that allows the white marble stone with its impressive veining to pop and make a stunning statement.
