Modern Tudor
Greenwich, Connecticut
Designer: Leah Diamond
Client Vision
An existing traditional kitchen (with moldings, decorative appliqués, and funky angles) was removed to add an updated modern style design.
Space was maximized by using some previously hidden space for pantries. Appliance corners and open shelving allow for items to be both hidden and on display, depending their purpose. The black and white color scheme creates a peaceful and elegant room that works with the adjacent spaces.

Functionality and Modernity
The original design of this kitchen was traditional, with a layout involving many angled corners and awkward spaces. The goal was to streamline the design and create a modern and more functional space. We accomplished this first by squaring off all corners, rotating the island and enlarging the main window to add more sunlight and visual balance.
